Vibrant Palette of Purple Shades: Nicola & Steven tie the knot at Stanley House

Steven
& I met at St Mary’s Sixth Form College when we were both 16. Steven
left college to become a full time cricketer & now plays professionally for
Nottinghamshire County.

He proposed to me at home on my birthday, followed by a surprise engagement party
with all our friends and family (it’s a good job I said yes!).

A close friend recommended Stanley House to us. It was exciting viewing the venue for
the first time, and even more so when we decided it was definitely the
place to hold our wedding!

We
attended a wedding fair at Stanley House where we met lots of amazing
suppliers, one of which was Amelia’s Bridal and meeting one of the owners, Jo, for the first time was
brilliant. Jo put my mind at ease after I mentioned we were leaving the
country for six months and that I wanted to sort my dress before we went away. She booked an appointment for me and that’s where I found my amazing dress. It was extremely easy; I tried on 10 dresses that caught my
eye but ending up choosing the first one! I will always remember my experience
at Amelia’s. The service from start to
finish was incredible, the ladies were so helpful and made my fittings
and appointments enjoyable.

Our
wedding day was unforgettable and couldn’t have been any better. Our theme was butterflies with a colour scheme of rich shades of purple. The sun
shone for us while we were having our amazing photographs taken and it was so much fun getting
all our friends and family together.

All our guests
commented on how much fun they had at the wedding, how beautiful the venue was
& all the things we added to make it extra special. They loved the
band and danced all night. They also mentioned how beautiful the food was and how stunning the rooms were. It was lovely to hear all the nice
feedback we got after the wedding, which made our day all the more special.

Our
photographer Mick Cookson was a real life-saver for us. He is a true gentleman and certainly went the extra mile. After
having issues with a previous photographer, we were glad that Mick was
there to reassure and help us the best he could. We were so relieved that he was available for us and we put all our faith in him to make us happy…and happy was definitely
an understatement! I cried tears of joy when I first saw our photographs and simply couldn’t believe that anybody could capture such amazing memories the way Mick has. We cannot thank him
enough!
