We love a story about strong,
independent business woman taking an opportunity by the scruff of the neck and
making it happen, and when we heard about Leanne’s project we had to find out
more!
Leanne provides a huge
variety of beauty and make-up treatments and options – HD brows, LVL
lashes, lash perfect semi-permanent lashes and make-up, Sienna X spray tanning,
microblading tattoos and she makes Brides, Bridesmaids and wedding party guests
feel amazing with her bridal make-up packages – so much so that she was voted 3rd
in the Best Make-Up category at The Great Northern Wedding Awards 2016!
Leanne had been working out
of a room in her own home but business was so brisk that she decided she needed
her very own beauty retreat on her property, and Operation Studio began in
December 2015.
Leanne says “I’m all about the
glamour but I’m definitely not scared of the hard graft that comes with
it! December saw me decked out in woolly hat, wellies, thick gardening
gloves and wielding a spade and a shovel instead of brushes and sponges – ’twas
not glam one bit!!
But how many people can say they dug out and filled in the
foundations of their very own studio, so totally worth the effort – and the
blisters! My poor dad & brother spent hour after hour in the rain putting
the electrics in – It’s been a real family affair alright! I’m so lucky to have
such a handy family who can do anything. My hubby helped me with the digging
bits too – I do love My Proper Men! A labour of love that was totally worth it as I absolutely ADORE the space and I’m so excited to help make more magical memories for my Brides❤️”
